Systems Engineer - Senior Job

SENIOR SYSTEMS ENGINEER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Leesburg, VA.

POSSESSOIN OF A DOD SECRET CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED AS A CONDITION FOR EMPLOYMENT.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Designs, defines, and maintains system architectures for new or existing computer systems in a Microsoft Windows environment

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Performs complex systems development and design work that may include logic design, I/O design, firmware development, model formulation, manufacturing and development cost projections, computer architecture analysis and design, and analog or digital systems engineering.
- Must be an expert level administrator for SCCM 2007 and have implementation experience in a mixed OS host environment without a conventional AD structure in the environment.
- Performs systems modelling, simulation, and analysis.
- Participates in the upgrading of operating systems and design of systems enhancements.
- Fully responsible for planning, managing and documenting server room systems and configurations.
- Ensures compliance with DOD IAVA requirements and installs required patches.
- Ensures compliance with IT security policies, STIGS, and other applicable DoD, Army, and DISA standards.
- Provides input for documentation on new or existing systems.
- Develops and maintains user, technical, and system documentation as project deliverables.
- Coordinates hardware and software installations and upgrades to ensure work is performed in accordance with Army policy and standards.
- Serves as the primary System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) administrator.
- Develops and conducts tests to ensure systems meet documented user requirements.
- Identifies, analyzes, and resolves system problems.
- Installs, configures, and maintains personal computers, Microsoft Networks, PC workstations, file Servers, Ethernet networks and associated infrastructure, equipment, systems, and devices.
- Provides system/equipment/specialized training and technical guidance.
- Determines system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
- May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced systems engineers.
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
- Participates in special projects as assigned.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.

MANDATORY CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

- DoD 8570.01-M IA Baseline Certification such as Security+ with CE
- DoD 8570.01-M recognized enterprise computing environment certification such as MCSE, MCNA, Network+ (with CE), etc.
- Five to eight (5-8) years of related systems engineering experience.
- Experience using LEMMS in lieu of SCCM.
- Understanding of the Army White List Program.
- Familiarity with Army Network Enterprise Center operations as well as Regional Cyber Command (RCC) duties and responsibilities
- Technical Skills (Experience in Circuit simulation and analysis tools such as PSPICE, MathCAD, Ansoft SI Wave)
