Systems Engineer L2/3 Cloud

This is an initial 6 MONTH + CONTRACT. Our client requires an experienced SYSTEM ENGINEER to provide CLOUD SOLUTIONS to leading, global organisations. The successful SYSTEMS ENGINEER (LEVEL 2/3) will be required to work in a fast paced dynamic environment, based in a superb SYDNEY CBD LOCATION, WITH INDUSTRY LEADING TRAINING OFFERED. This includes performing incident management, analysis and resolution of customer and platform incidents and their impact upon shared platforms and products. Extensive troubleshooting is required, as well is excellent diagnostic capabilities and proactive alarm management designed to eliminate problems before they impact the customer.

The successful SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR is responsible for providing assurance for the numerous platforms in a LEVEL 2/3 CAPACITY ON A ROTATING 24/7 ROSTER.

- 5 AFTERNOONS - 2 DAYS OFF
- 4 NIGHTS - 2 DAYS OFF

KEY RESPONSIBILITES;

- Effective end to end management of customer incidents, focusing on customer centric behaviours
- Assist customers, partners and business units with troubleshooting incidents.
- Work closely, maintain and foster relationships between peers and workgroups.
- Develop and maintain both technical and process procedures for the group
- Delivery of technical training to staff for any updates, new processes or products
- VMWARE SPECIALISTS HIGHLY REGARDED
- Effective end to end management of customer incidents, focusing on customer centric behaviours.

- Develop and maintain both technical and process procedures for the group.

- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in at least one of the following Servers technologies;
- VMWARE
- LINUX(RHEL 5)/SOLARIS (SOLARIS 10)
- WINDOWS SERVER (2008 SERVER)
- ORACLE\'S SUN SPARC ENTERPRISE GRADE SERVER, M5000, M9000 ETC
- ORACLE\'S SUN BLADE 6000 CHASSIS

KEY REQUIREMENTS;

- Minimum 5 years experience in operating in a IT Support environment
- Demonstrated knowledge/experience in either one of the following environments (Windows, Linux).
- Experience or EXPOSURE TO VMWARE AND WORKING IN A VIRTUALIZED ENVIRONMENTS ESSENTIAL
- Excellent customer focus.
- Proven ability to manage multiple incidents, Proactive work ethics
- Available to work after hours as required and with minimal supervision (24x7 rotating roster)
