Projektbeschreibung

SYSTEMS ENGINEER/DESKTOP ENGINEER/INFORMATION SECURITY/DESKTOP SUPPORT/2ND/3RD LINE SUPPORT - AUSTRIA

New contract for 6 months with a leading company in Austria/Vienna within the public sector.

You will have strong experience of the following Windows technologies;

Windows Desktop OS

Excellent MS Windows 7, Office 2010, Active Director and Group Policy

In-depth SCCM.

In-depth knowledge and demonstrated experience of automated software deployment

In-depth knowledge of Information Security principles, practices and technologies

PKI and Encryption technologies.

Good understanding of authentication protocols

Knowledge of ITIL server management and PRINCE2

FUNCTIONS

- Desktop engineering: plan, design, implement, deploy, and manage user-friendly solutions for the end-user computing environment. Contribute to and play a leading role in the development of systems that adhere to the IT standards and policies. Develop and manage technologies for the deployment of software packages, updates, and fixes to the end-user computing environment in a secure, efficient and user-friendly manner. Evaluate, plan, test and deploy software updates and fixes.
- Information security: contribute as a key player to ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of Safeguards relevant information by proposing and developing appropriate desktop measures and operational support options.
- Problem solving: investigate and resolve IT problems. Work with vendors on technical matters to prevent problems and optimise problem solving. Formulate and articulate expert opinions based on analysis.
- Planning and project management: formulate, plan, and execute desktop engineering projects. Identify, investigate, and advise on emerging technologies and products, and assess their suitability of use within the overall IT strategy.
- Communication: consult with and take direction from managers regarding work priorities and deliverables. Listen to customers, end users, and business analysts to understand requirements. Produce high level oral and written reports, presenting complex technical matters in clear terms tailored to specific audiences.
- Service management: take day-to-day responsibility to ensure the availability, performance and security of supported services; including the maintenance, monitoring and development of standard operating procedures.

Ideally you will have at least 5 years experience in an environment with significant security constraints. This is an excellent opportunity for an immediate start.
