JOB DESCRIPTION
Update, test and configure the design Model
Update, test and configure design model to excel import/export macros.
Document the design and use of the Design Model.
Define and manage implementation of a versioning/configuration control system for the design model and its associated items.
Plan and support design model user training.
Create a customised Enterprise Architect Interface to simplify use by non-experts.
Implement generation of interface documentation into a MS Word template.
Implement generation of network/boundary diagrams for use in Word documents/PowerPoint presentations.
Extend the design model (and its documentation) to capture logical/software elements of the combat system and their interfaces.
Extend the Design Model to manage platform and class variants of combat system elements.
Extend the Design Model to include ILS information.

THE INDIVIDUAL
In the previous task an initial Enterprise Architect model of the physical aspects of the combat system has been created along with MS Excel VBA macros that allow import (and export) of data to (and from) Excel worksheet templates. A Systems Engineer is required to progress this task through to a working model that accepts new and revisions to data and hence produces the required outputs while remaining under configuration control.
Systems Engineer able to define a sub system from the requirements and hence produce a variety of system description documents and inputs to cable diagrams and the BoM.
Membership of appropriate Engineering Institution would be seen as advantageous.

DESIRABLE:

Good knowledge of UML modelling.
Reasonable level of experience using Enterprise Architect.
Experience in developing applications with MS Excel VBA (Visual Basic for Applications).
Experience in the creation and use of MS Word templates.
Familiarity with Combat Systems.
