Systems Engineer - Data Centre

Our client, a leading global outsourcing business, is searching for a Systems Engineer to join their team to assist with a large Data Centre migration project!

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

- Perform 2nd Level Windows Server Operating System Support;
- Provide 2nd Level Wintel Server hardware support and engage support vendors as required;
- The final phase of this project involves physically moving (Lift and Shift method) racks and Servers from one location to the other.
- A refresh of old equipment will be performed.
- Un-racking Servers from Burwood, re-racking them in new Data Centre
- Installing new Servers in Data Centre and performing other tasks as required.

ESSENTIAL SKILL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

- Must have NV 1 Government, Top secret, Highly protected or Secret security clearance
- Minimum 5 years experience within the IT Industry
- Ability to resolve issues and handle conflicting priorities in a dynamic environment
- Ability to manage own tasks and work with minimal supervision
- Excellent technical knowledge of the Microsoft Windows 2000/2003 server operating systems
- Excellent technical knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory
- Experience with remote support tools;
- Good understanding of Wintel Server hardware standards and technologies
- Ability to work well within a large team
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to perform after hours work and 24 x 7 On Call duties

The ideal applicant will have Data Centre Migration experience and must have Security Clearance.
