Systems Engineer/Architect (Linux, C, Python) >70k + Hedgefund Bonus

A leading financial asset manager is looking to hire a Linux Systems Engineer/Architect with a passion for technology to join their growing IT infrastructure and development team. The role will involve developing and supporting and managing business critical systems, as well as optimisation of the Linux Infrastructure. High performance computing research skills will be important to ensuring maximum system output and availability.

A strong technical knowledge of Linux flavours/distributions (eg Red Hat/.rpm, Debian/.deb) is important - from config to build and related software. Experience in infrastructure architecture is important, with programming skills in C/Python preferably, however any programming skills (java,c# etc) will be applicable.

A background supporting low latency/high availability/scientific IT systems is desirable, as is high performance system build experience with commodity hardware/opensource software. This Linux experience could be in a commercial or in a research masters/phd etc capacity.
