THE INFRASTRUCTURE, HOSTING AND SERVICES TDA SUPPORT ROLE WILL DEFINE AND PROMOTE ENTERPRISE DESIGN FOR INFRASTRUCTURE PRODUCTS AND SYSTEMS AND MANAGE CHANGE TO EXISTING SOLUTION REQUIREMENTS. THE ROLE WILL ALSO BE INVOLVED WITH TEAMS WHO ARE DEVELOPING NEXT GENERATION OF OS PLATFORMS AND SOFTWARE DISTRIBUTION SERVICES AND DEFINITION OF PROPER SERVICE INTERFACES. THIS ROLE WILL WORK WITH PRODUCT MANAGEMENT, PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND ENGINEERING TEAMS TO REVIEW INTEGRATION AND DEPENDENCY DECISIONS AND DESIGNS.

THE 2 MOST IMPORTANT SKILLS NEEDED ARE EXCELLENT "HANDS ON" LINUX ENGINEERING EXPERIENCE AND IT APPLICATIONS ARCHITECTURE.

* Develop practical application architecture diagrams and supporting artifacts
* Actively promote quality and consistency of application architecture diagrams and other artifacts throughout the analysis and development process
* Proactively identify and help to address architectural risks and issues early in the development cycle
* Represent key GPS architectural decisions and concepts at design authority and other management meetings
* Examine trade-offs between different application architectures and technologies in support of requirements
* Linux operating system engineering experience
* Competence in pragmatic structured design techniques, especially the use of UML to document application designs.
* An understanding of operating systems, network and software deployment (Linux OS preferred)
* An understanding of software development process models and controls
* General understanding of operational and risk based controls
* Evidence of technical design and build of enterprise Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
* Strong background in analysis of complex software applications; and be able to describe practical day-to-day techniques they have used in these projects to achieve goals
* A broad understanding of technologies used in Investment Banking, and be able to converse with technical colleagues eg Architects, Developers about in-depth technical aspects
* Exposure to a variety of development methodologies and approaches within software analysis & design in banking, and able to work with different approaches depending on the needs of a project
* Ability to drill into and resolve complex problems and issues
* Strong written and oral communication skills and be able to choose appropriate communication media for the subject and target audience
* Ability to lead discussions to a conclusion, negotiate and adapt communication style
* Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
