On behalf of our client, a large international bank, we are currently looking for a Senior Engineer for a long term contract role in Zurich.

As a Lead Engineer you will oversee and contribute to the design and implementation of capturing and archiving solutions as well as the respective maintenance and 3rd level support.
In addition to perform hands-on design, implementation and 3rd level support tasks you will:- - Liaise with Business Analysis to contribute to requirements engineering process and respective reviews
- Work in close cooperation with IT Architecture and IT Security to agree on the design of any major change planned aligned with the solution's strategy and architectural principles
- Conduct effort estimates for the respective project's engineering, testing and integration tasks
- Support the Project Manager with the creation and assignment of engineering work packages
- ensure 3rd level support for the applications in scope
Requirements
-10+ years' experience in similar positions and are expected to have excellent technical and interpersonal skills.
- e2e software development life cycle with focus on the integration of 3rd party components
- Incident management, problem analysis in a complex environment with remote, multi-tiered installations
-Profound experience in Windows operating system on client (WXP, Win7) and server (WSP - W2K8) side
- Windows software distribution and packaging mechanisms
- Scritping (batch processes, Perl, SQL, XML)
- Programming (Visual Studio environment, .NET framework) would be a plus
- Configuration management, Software packaging
- UNIX (Solaris, Linux) experience, experience as a UNIX system engineer would be a plus
- Oracle product expertise, expertise in RDBMS modelling and DB development (PL/SQL) would be a plus
- Exchange Server (2003/2007/2010) product experience including SMTP Mail flow, Email Routing,
- Experience with storage and archiving solutions and resp. product knowledge (OpenText LEA/CM, ComplianceNow) would be a plus
- IT Security (authentication, authorization, cryptography, certificate mgmt., etc.)
