Systems Engineer

EPC Engineering representative to the Client. Strong systems and interface engineering skills based upon previous experience of SIT and systems engineering within subsea projects. Detailed understanding of subsea product design basis, verification methods, tender work and projects execution and general product knowledge gained through significant number of years of industrial experience. Support Risk Assessment, HAZOP and Interface Engineering within the boundaries of product standards. Knowledge and understanding of other related systems engineering skills such as Factory Acceptance Procedures.

Direct Responsibilities

- Overall responsible for system engineering deliverables in large projects
- Identify customer's requirement and bring effective solutions
- Planning and Performing system wide audits and deign reviews
- Lead project design activities and technical decisions
- Ensure the proper understanding of technical customer needs inside the project engineering organization
- Develop and follow-up of the overall Engineering schedule
- Develop and manage the overall material requirements
- Responsible for implementing the Engineering Change Control system and ensuring compliance within Engineering.
- Responsible for ensuring Technical Compliance of the equipment to relevant Laws, Rules, Regulations, Codes & standards.
- Follow up of technical qualification programs and ensuring the designs are aligned with the results.
- Support all CoEs with their system design and ensure system integration between them
- Produce the design basis and philosophy documents with assistance from others
- Ensure the Master equipment list (MEL) and Supplier document register (SDR) is established and updated
- Ensure that LCI (Life Cycle Information) or DFO (Documents for Operations) requirements are planned for at an early stage and continuously maintained for handover at project Handover.
- Support Project Management with Handover documentation/Delivery Protocol package or Customer Acceptance of equipment (not final documentation)
- Implement Customer tagging philosophy
- Produce Cause and Effects and ensure controls systems' programming takes these into account.
- Responsible for and ensure delivery of all required special reports and studies, such as flow assurance, erosion, thermal analysis, ROV intervention

Qualifications

- Masters Degree Mechanical Engineering plus minimum of 8 years experience in subsea projects and study work, or
- Bsc/BEng/HND/HNC plus 10 years experience minimum, equivalent to registration as a chartered engineer.
- 10 years minimum product design experience in Oilfield Drilling Equipment and/or Production Equipment.
