JOB DESCRIPTION

The purpose of this role is to take responsibility for the clearance of DASS products to our 4 nation and export customers.

WORKING HOURS

- 5 days p/wk (Mon-Fri) around relevant site core hours (please consult line manager for local site core hours).
- Hours required to work per week are 37.00 unless otherwise stated (this does not include lunch breaks).
- Start and finish times to be agreed with local Line Management, in accordance with local site core hours.
- Lunch break allowance is 42 minutes to be taken between 12.00 1:45pm (or as agreed with Line Manager). 42 mins will automatically be deducted each working day by the electronic time management system
- Dependant on workload, local management may request more or less hours are worked within this contract.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will be required to perform tasks suitable to the internal level of this role.

THE ROLE WILL CONTAIN, BUT WILL NOT BE LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING;

- To remain current with the system qualification, certification and verification processes. Where process changes are implemented, these processes are communicated and understood across the QCV team and our stakeholders
- Where a change in the DASS product is being introduced the QCV team are to be actively involved in determining DASS qualification and certification requirements. These requirements are to be endorsed by the relevant stakeholders before DASS SDR signature is obtained on the DASS QPP
- Ground Test Plan are to be provided to the test team at least 4 weeks before the start of a test phase. - Ground Test Plans are to be endorsed by the test team before DASS SDR signature is obtained
- Configuration best practice is to be maintained with appropriate use of configuration toolsets at each stage of a deliverables life cycle
- Qualification requirements are to be reviewed on a regular basis to ensure DASS requirements remain current
- Verification requirements are to be reviewed when requested by the Chief Engineers Office
- Before the start of a qualification test phase, the requirements and sub-system program are to be understood by the test team ie through the use of a TRR
- To collate and understand all necessary evidence in support of a sub-system clearance. As required, ensure our stakeholders understand the maturity of the DASS product
- To assist in the management of the contract programmes and act as key point of contact for DASS qualification, certification and verification activities
- To support the running of flight trials and assist in the analysis of flight trials data for inpuit into Flight Trials Reports
- Manage the production of Sub-System Safety assessment reports in line with Eurofighter processes and the System Safety Programme Plan
- All DASS QCV members should be familiar with the latest status on product maturity and provide/support various stakeholder reviews as required
- Maintain AHT SPR interface in order to provide the latest advice to our customers

THE INDIVIDUAL

The following will be necessary of the successful candidate:

- A good understanding of qualification and safety activities
- Relative experience gained on an aircraft engineering project
- A degree in engineering or equivalent
- Anability to develop and present a range of complex data to variety of stakeholders
- Experience of working in a test environment
- Good understanding of the Defensive Aids Sub-System
- A good understanding of the "V" life cycle and it's application to the production of qualification requirements and aircraft clearances
- Experience of working with the Typhoon Aircraft end user
