Finance IT Systems Analyst

The role will be focused on developing improvements to Finance interfaces from Line of Business systems.

You will add value through your knowledge of assessing and implementing change to processes, systems and software to meet demanding requirements and timescales, and your ability to translate existing finance processes and data flows into simple, effective procedures. You will also add value through your knowledge of accounting practice, procedure and technology/software. Candidates will ideally be qualified/part-qualified or equivalent with in-depth knowledge of user experience of accounting systems.

The successful application will be responsible for a number of tasks, including:

Developing and maintaining one or more specific accounting systems in line with business requirements

Providing Finance system users with help, advice and technical support on how to use and make the best of the systems

Working with Finance colleagues to identify and understand their requirements and develop detailed specifications for system development

Analysing finance processes and systems to identify improvement opportunities

Participating in joint Finance and IT design sessions to contribute knowledge of finance requirements and/or accounting software to enable tailored IT solutions.

Supporting the development of business cases for the implementation of new or enhanced Finance IT services and solutions.

Participating in the testing of Finance IT solutions to ensure they correspond with documented specifications and business requirements.

Proactively developing and maintaining a current and accurate knowledge of Finance and Accounting solutions available internally and/or externally.

Leading, motivating and developing a team of analysts to deliver high quality outputs in the most effective ways while ensuring their personal and professional development.
