SYSTEMS ANALYST - EXETER - 6 MONTH CONTRACT - START ASAP

Capita JSS work extensively as a managed service provider within the public sector and as part of our partnership with Devon and Cornwall Constabulary an exciting opportunity has arisen for an interim SYSTEMS ANALYST.

This is a high-profile interim 6 month contract and we would be keen to speak to candidates who would be interested in a day rate limited company contract paying up to £220/day. Candidates must also be eligible to work in the UK and undergo NPPV Vetting.

The purpose of the SYSTEMS ANALYST role is to work closely with the customer to gather and translate requirements to aid the production of designs of new IT solutions and changes to existing IT solutions to improve the business efficiency and productivity.

The role will see the post-holder examining existing business models and flows of data, discussing their findings with the customer, and designing an appropriate improved IT solution.

Additional responsibilities include:

- Production of outline designs and costings of new IT systems
- Specifying the operations the system will perform, and the way data will be viewed by the user
- Presenting the design to the customer and once it is approved, working closely with the project team to implement the solution.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate the following to be considered for the role of SYSTEMS ANALYST:

- Experience of successfully working in a user-focused ICT service and project delivery environment
- Experience of user requirements gathering Analysis
- Experience of Business Analysis
- Experience of working with 3rd party suppliers in the delivery of end to end ICT services
- Experience in a customer-facing capacity
- Hardware test and Measurement

In addition, ITIL Foundation certification would be highly beneficial.

Our Systems Analysts are excellent written and verbal communicators, able to successfully liaise with multiple stakeholders. They are organised and able to manage a high-volume workload effectively while working to conflicting deadlines.

THE SENSITIVE NATURE OF WORK CARRIED OUT BY DEVON & CORNWALL POLICE MEANS THAT SPECIFIC VETTING & SCREENING IS REQUIRED FOR ALL POSTS. IF SUCCESSFUL AT INTERVIEW, CANDIDATES WILL BE REQUIRED TO UNDERGO NPPV VETTING PRIOR TO STARTING ON SITE. YOU WILL ALSO BE REQUIRED TO UNDERGO A COUNTER-TERRORISM CHECK (CTC) UPON STARTING.
