SYSTEMS ANALYST
Job description
A major Qatar Company is the operator of Gas Ventures (Venture 1, Venture 2, Venture 3 & 4 and Laffan Refinery, Qatar), as well as the operator of the common storage and loading facilities at Ras Laffan which includes LNG, Condensate, LPG and Sulfur.
As the operator of such facilities, software solutions are being implemented to support business functions such as LNG and Fleet Planning, Hydrocarbon Allocation/Production reporting and Sales Administration. Energy Components (EC) are currently being used to support the Hydrocarbon Allocation/Production reporting, and Sales Admin functions.
A Systems Analyst is needed with experience with Energy Components and EC Production module.
We are looking for a person with Energy Component experience. It is an application provided by a company called TietoEnator.
Experience in EC Transport, Sales and Revenue will be an asset. This candidate will assist in day-to-day support of Energy Components and participate in software upgrades, project delivery of system requirements as well as providing other operational support.
DUTIES:
Receive and attend to support requests from business departments.
Analyze and document business requirements, technical specifications, testing scripts and user training materials.
Analyze effort needed to complete any system issue.
Troubleshoot issues as they arise and co-ordinate with vendor as necessary.
Perform necessary configurations to support business requirements and ensure adequate unit testing, integration testing (where applicable) and user acceptance testing are completed, signed off and all supporting document filed.
Support interfaces to other business systems.
Analyze operational issues and other system problems in the use of EC to support business needs.
Monitor progress of all support requests and ensures accurate weekly status reporting is completed.
Ensure that end users and other impacted parties are kept informed on progress of support requests.
Verify new releases of software from vendor and undertakes acceptance testing, deploys and monitors implementation.
Mentor other team members as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a bachelor degree.
Must be experienced in Energy Components.
Should possess excellent oral and written communication skills in English, as well as good interpersonal, presentation and documentation skills.
5 - 10 years of experience in Hydrocarbon Accounting, ideally within Oil and Gas Industry.
This is 3-6 months Contract, to move/shift to a Permanent position..
