Systems Administrator - Windows

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS ROLE ARE:

Support the maintenance and development of corporate business applications, and software associated systems and peripherals.
Work with end user departments to identify opportunities to make better use of their applications and streamline their business processes.
Generate custom reports, coordinate software testing and train users in the use of core business applications
Participate in the procurement of software and a range of related services and liaise with external suppliers.
Develop and maintain documentation and procedures relevant to the corporate business applications.
Use the Information Services Help Desk application, to record requests, manage work, resolve and record issues with core system applications and contribute to the collective knowledge of the Department.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WITH THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and database administration concepts.
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Workstation.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and the functionality of its components.
Knowledge of Microsoft reporting services
Well developed research, analytical and problem solving skills.
Knowledge of IT Support processes
Degree, Diploma in a relevant field with some relevant Information Technology industry experience; OR
Lesser formal qualification or relevant Information Technology Certification with substantial relevant Information Technology industry experience
Sound practical knowledge of Electronic Document and Records Management Systems (EDRMS)
Experience in the development and implementation of projects associated with IT systems administration and in the provision of application services and software support.
Experience in database administration/application systems administration.
A current Victorian driver's license.
Experience in Local Government business processes
