Systems Administrator Technician

SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR/TECHNICIAN

Our client is the world's leading computer components manufacturing company seeking a candidate to provide systems administration, device driver loading, and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows clients and Windows 7 internal operations such as driver management. This Technician will support multiple releases of the IT Client Build each year, supporting 50+ individual hardware platforms across two Microsoft operating systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

- Evaluating new desktops, laptops, tablets, and other client computing devices with a goal of providing feedback that may affect these platforms introduction to the client in the form of feedback to the key contact documented process.
- Updating the IT Client Build to support new devices that are being introduced as either standard or niche offerings.
- Troubleshooting problems in the build process that appear during the development cycle and troubleshooting "build outages" anywhere around the work in the production environment (identifying what is the broken in the production infrastructure) Troubleshooting issues reported by senior management regarding their primary systems.
- Working directly with different hardware and software vendors to figure out what went wrong, why it went wrong, whether it can be patched up, and when it will truly be fixed.
- All issues beyond the expertise of the Technician whether HW, OS, or working with other vendors will be escalated as warranted.
- Must be able to pass 10 year criminal background check, drug screen
- Capable of lifting 70lbs
