An opening exists for a Systems Administrator for a 6 month contract role who is dedicated to Server Management Services. Our server team is embarking on 4 high priority infrastructure projects in the areas of DNS (lnfoblox), Workstation deployment tools (SCCM), Staff Email (Exchange Upgrade) and cross platform application delivery (Citrix).

Deliverables/Responsibilities:
 Support, monitor and maintain the Servers and associated infrastructure. 
 Investigate and report on faults.
 Install and configure server and associated infrastructure equipment as directed.
 Provide assistance to users of the University's Servers and associated infrastructure
 Maintain relevant knowledge of industry developments in computing.
 Maintain procedures, policies, configuration information and network diagrams.

Skills and Knowledge needed for this role:
 Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience
 Firm grasp of IP based networking.
 Experience in setting up and maintaining enterprise Servers and services
 Experience in maintaining technical documentation
 Working knowledge of storage solutions including Storage Area Networks (SANs)
 Knowledge of server hardware virtualisation technologies
