Systems Administrator & Analyst

This is a CONTRACT engagement (W2)

The project is scheduled to start June 1 and run through December, 2015.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client is ramping up a project work to replace their server and network infrastructure. This will include the migration of Microsoft Servers into a virtual environment. As a result, we are seeking an experienced, hard working and team oriented person to participate in the execution of this project.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

- Install and maintain site infrastructure, including server, storage and local area networking devices to ensure business availability.
- Responsible for maintaining and monitoring remote site backup and recovery to ensure data integrity and retention.
- Responsible to provide business customers with timely resolution of technical problems, aligns with existing ITIL process and standards (incident, problem, change) to provide continuous service improvement and delivery.
- Maintain a positive relationship with staff, internal business customers and external IT service providers.
- Understand Avery Dennison's history, culture, products, footprint, objectives, goals, strategies and measurements.
- Potential candidates will have a 5 year background in LAN and/or Server
- Cisco, Microsoft, VMware certifications a plus
- Collaborate and cross train with a national team of resources in the U.S.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Potential candidates will have a 5 year background in LAN and/or Server hardware and software. Experience with the technologies listed below:
- Installation and support of physical and virtual network Servers and appliances. Installation of VMware technology and HP server platform
- Network configuration and installation of LAN technologies including Cisco Switches and wireless access points.
- Experience with installation of Microsoft services to include DHCP, File Server, domain controller services, print services, DNS.
- Installation of HP server management tools such as ILO and HP SIM
- Experience with installation of ESX 5.5 and managing VMs with vCenter.
- Experience with BackupExec software and scheduling
- Familiar with ITIL best practice
- Cisco, Microsoft, VMware certifications a plus
- Proficient in English
- IT degree and 2 to 4 years of working experience in IT related field
- Candidate must be willing and able to travel in the North America hemisphere
