Systems Administrator

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Installing and configuring SiteMinder Policy Server as well as Web Agents on Windows, Red Hat Linux and Solaris environments
- Will be challenged to create and maintain highly scalable, available, reliable, and secure core infrastructure solutions.
- Configuring SiteMinder authentication schemes across a large infrastructure with several hundred thousand user base.
- Configuring SiteMinder Web Agents on Web Servers (Apache, Tomcat, IIS). Must be scalable and reliable for internal and external users. Must be able to work with other infrastructure teams to assist and manage the installation of other systems that may be a dependency to the proposed solution.
- Troubleshoot complex applications authentication issues for SSO/SiteMinder, Infrastructure, LDAP, and other core system issues. Share knowledge and document 1st, 2nd, and 3rd level support information to assist Service Center team and reduce escalations to product team.
- Help document current environment and provide detail architecture suggestions to suggest "ideal state". Be able to perform a gap analysis on current state and assist with building road maps to address gaps.
- Provide process improvement and automation suggestions to the team.

SKILLS:

SKILLS REQUIRED

- 5+ years' experience with SiteMinder, Authentication Solutions, and LDAP Directories in a highly load balanced implementations.
- Object level design practices in Java, C/C++, Perl, and/or other development environments a plus.
- Experience in automating user account and group membership creation, excellent organization, communication, and analytic skills.
- Proficiency with technologies used to programmatically access LDAP directories (JNDI, LDAP C SDK, ADSI).
- Knowledge of: OpenBSD, GNU/Linux, Python, Virtualization (Xen, VMWare, and KVM), Web Servers (Apache, Sun One, Lighttpd, Tomcat, WebLogic), LDAP (OpenLDAP and Sun Directory Server) would be a plus
- Candidates must have good written and verbal communication skills. This position will be directly interfacing with key lines of business as well as internal/external clients.
- Candidates must be able to drive standardization across the teams and work directly with 3rd Party vendors to resolve complex issues and/or define areas of improvement for global products and services.
- Candidates would need to work first shift Business hours due to supporting operational and project responsibilities.
- Candidates must be able to work independently at times and be considered self starters/managed to respond to high demand work areas.
- Direct experience with mature Identity management systems is highly preferred.
