Systems Administrator

Linux /VMWare Systems Administrator,Aberdeen

My client currently require an experienced Linux / VMWare Systems Administrator / Operations lead on a 6-12 month contract who will assume direct responsibility for managing all aspects of support across our clients end consumer base, including live and staging environments as well as proactive support for development operations.

Reporting to the Head of Software you must be able to work with a wide range of stakeholders across Software Service Engineers, product managers, software test engineers in order to provide them support across the full services life-cycle.

Responsibilities:-

- Hands on Administration of Virtual Cloud environment using VMWare / VSphere
- Hands on Administration of of both Linux (90%) and Windows (10%) server Infrastructure
- Management of IT Automation
- Implementing solutions for failover and performance
- Ensuring 24/7 availability of Services IT Infrastructure including Disaster Recovery
- Act as interface and management of 3rd party external suppliers
