SYSTEMS ADMIN/TECH SUPPORT HIGHLANDS RANCH, CO 6 MONTH CONTRACT

Our high-visibility client is looking for a bright, passionate and dedicated employee to join their Production Operations Support Team. In this Service Desk role, you will be responsible for supporting production transaction processing systems in a Network Operations Center in Highlands Ranch, CO. These Production Systems are truly the backbone of the business and process millions of transactions daily for some of the most prestigious companies in the US.

SWING SHIFT POSITION: 6 MONTHS DAYS AND 6 MONTHS NIGHTS ANNUALLY

Specific Responsibilities will include:

- Monitor production systems, applications and network performance through the use of various Network Management and Application Monitoring Tools.
- Act as the central point of contact/coordinator for Critical Incident troubleshooting, assessment of Production Commerce Systems and Data Networks.
- Open and update Incident tickets for events and incidents, respond to internal customer calls and escalations.
- Use MS SQL to query database for reporting, impact assessment, Incident troubleshooting.
- Support change management, daily turnover, and escalate problems to the appropriate level 2 resources.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 2+ years working in a Windows environment, including experience with Microsoft IIS
- Knowledge of system administration, databases and/or network topology required
- Server Monitoring experience a strong plus
- Experience with Netcool, Tivoli, Sitescope, MRTG a strong plus
- Experience with Linux a strong plus
- Basic knowledge of SQL queries
- Basic knowledge of LAN/WAN
- Knowledge of system administration, databases and/or network topology a must
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong work ethic, demonstrated self-starter, ability to work in fast paced, team oriented environment
- Ability to adapt to shift work (off hours/weekend work)
- Strong technical aptitude and a desire to learn a must
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline required or equivalent industry experience
