Systems Accountant

An exciting opportunity to be part of an initial programme team responsible for the implementation of a large IT solution for a flagship contract within a FTSE 100 company. The role is required to provide a dedicated resource during the critical stages of implementing a complex IT solution. The successful candidate will be required to work with the programme team during design, build, test, migrate, transition and go live phases of the programme. This person will be responsible for implementing a control structure to ensure the financial rigour of the solution and will be the key representative for Finance on the implementation phase of programme.

Key responsibilities of the role are:
* Lead from a financial perspective on the planning, design, system development and testing of the IT solution, working alongside the Implementation team to ensure all aspect of financial requirements are met
* Liaising with the Programme Team to ensure the requirements of finance are understood and objectives met.
* Testing and reviewing business processes, workflows, controls and procedures to continually ensure the financial requirements are met during all stages of the implementation
* Working with the Testing team to ensure all financial requirements are tested by ensuring completeness of the test scenarios and scripts
* Working with the Data Migration team, ensuring financials are migrated across correctly within defined timescales
* Working independently, setting own priorities and agenda, whilst liaising with client and programme team and where necessary influencing the wider programme priorities and agenda to meet financial objectives
* Working under tight deadlines and under pressure to produce to deliverables to a high standard.
