Systems Accountant

A Systems Accountant is required to work for a well-known hospitality company based in South West London on a contract basis for 6-9 months.  Working for a well-established brand you will be an integral member of the finance team taking the lead in assisting with the upgrade of their finance system.

This is a newly created role which has been created to implement and improve systems across the 22 entities within the organisation.  Working for this £40 million turnover company you will be supporting the finance team and group in upgrading and improving the system as well as assisting with month and year-end reporting.  

You will be responsible for: the administration of the Sage system; rolling out the new Back Office till system; rolling out the purchasing system across the sites; administering the online sales portal; administering credit card terminals across sites.  Additionally you will take responsibility for various finance duties including handling guest receipts, reconciliation of vouchers, balance sheet reconciliations relating to receipts and intercompany accounting.

In order to be considered it is essential that you have a finance background and an understanding of month-end reporting and management accounting.  Ideally you will have worked in a finance role previously where you have taken the lead in upgrading and administering systems.  You must have experience of various financial and reporting systems including reconciling problem balances for these systems.  Previous experience working in the Retail or Hospitality sector is essential and ideally you will have prior experience working with EPoS systems.
