System Specialist (f/m)

Our Client the NORDIC INVESTMENT BANK (NIB) is an international financial institution owned by the Nordic and Baltic countries. The Bank provides long-term loans on market terms to private and public projects that improve competitiveness and the environment. NIB has the highest possible credit rating and acquires the funds for its lending by borrowing on international capital markets. The Bank has 190 employees and total assets amounting to approximately EUR 24 billion. NIB is located in Helsinki, Finland, and its main working language is English.

SYSTEM SPECIALIST

NIB’s ICT unit is responsible for providing ICT services for the bank and its sister organisations. We are seeking a professional system specialist to join us for a three year fixed-term contract.

Role of the System Specialist:

As part of our ICT team, which currently consists of four persons, you will be responsible for supporting Treasury and Risk Management systems. The job includes both functional and technical tasks and offers a great possibility to have an overview into all aspects of the banking business. The new system specialist reports to the Senior Manager heading the Treasury and Risk Management systems team.

Main responsibilities:

Monitor, maintain and enhance the banks production systems within Treasury and Risk Management business areas
Work in close collaboration with business and other functions of the bank
Provide ICT expertise and services for development and maintenance projects

Required qualifications:

A minimum of 3-4 years’ relevant ICT working experience, preferably within the financial sector
Experience of system maintenance and modern database management
Good knowledge of SQL-scripting, and preferably other programming languages such as C#.
Knowledge of risk systems would be considered an advantage
Experience and knowledge of project work
At least a Bachelor’s degree in ICT
Fluent written and spoken communication skills in English
