System Operations Engineer

Systems Operations Engineer (Senior) is being sought to secure the systems reliability and service fulfillment to the customer and to his/her help they have a virtual team of experts with broad competences that works in a Matrix organization. The responsibilities include supervising the day-to-day technical operation of the platform, working closely with other parts of the operations organization such as The Business operations, System surveillance, Application, Network and Server Management, to ensure that uptime, performance and service fulfillment is archived in the best way possible They are also the main contact between the client and the Customer market operations in regard to future enhancements, changes in SLA, performance and capacity reviews as well as follows up on technical operational incidents. The Analyst is also responsible for preparing and delivering reports, including Incident Reports. The key to our success is to have functionally flawless systems, which makes this role one of the most challenging (and exciting) roles within our company. We are looking to get in touch with candidates that have the ability to bridge discussions between the customer and the operations, development and account team, understanding both the business needs and the technological possibilities. To succeed in this role, you need to have a combination of experience and excellent understanding of client management as well as of a wide range of technologies. Experience providing operational support and/or management of crucial systems, preferably within a Unix/Linux/Red Hat/Solaris environment and Oracle/SQL Server is considered as an advantage but you can also have a project management background. In addition, you need to be a strong leader, able to motivate colleagues who do not formally report to you. Furthermore, we are expecting you to be customer centered, with a strong drive to achieve results.
