System Integration Engineer

For our customer in Zurich we are looking for a Systems Integration Engineer

Scope of work:

- Analyze infrastructure requirements and produce detailed design documents including cost estimates which pass internal and external review without changes being requested
- Understand all corporate product offerings and ensure solution designs utilize these products as effectively as possible
- Work with the provisioning team to ensure infrastructure is built correctly first time
- Assist senior staff in discovery of requirements and infrastructure utilization required for large projects

Skills:

- Thorough knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems
- Strong Knowledge of Windows clustering, Microsoft SQL, and other associated enterprise technologies
- Knowledge of Oracle, Sybase and MSQL database technologies
- Knowledge of Middleware (eg WebLogic, MQ) useful
- Symantec VERITAS Storage foundation (VxVM, VxFS, VERITAS Clustering)
- Understanding of SAN technologies and storage replication
- Experience with hardware server technologies, particularly HP Proliant
- Thorough knowledge of virtualization technologies particularly VMWare ESX server and VDI
- Knowledge of capacity planning and performance measurement techniques
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or closely related disciplines is strongly preferred
