SYSTEM FINANCIAL DATABASE ARCHITECT - REPORTING, SQL, OLAP

JOB PURPOSE

The System Financial Database Architect is responsible for the MIS environment within the team from both operations and improvements perspective. His/Her responsibilities range from data base designing to data collection and reporting/analysis tools/services.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

DATABASE DESIGN

- Is responsible for the design, operational management and maintenance of the Client's Integrated Database
- Supports continuous improvements to better serve all relevant internal customers.
- Supports the master data management process
- Ensures data integrity of the overall solution

DATA COLLECTION TOOLS

- Provides the technical tools for data collection such as: Budget/Latest Forecast on local activity level and quarterly consumption data
- Is facilitating the overall planning and costing process
- Ensures collected data is correctly passed on for consolidation reporting and analysis
- Cooperates with other teams to ensure data accessibility and quality

REPORTING/ANALYSIS TOOLS/SERVICES

- Is responsible for the Reporting/Analysis environment and aims to provide a one stop shop for all Financial data
- Provides reporting packages as agreed with customer community

TECHNICAL/PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

EXPERIENCE IN BUILDING DATA WAREHOUSES:

- Strong relational and dimensional Datamodelling and database design (OLAP, OLTP)
- database administration
- database performance tuning
- ETL process design

EXPERIENCE IN BOTH STATIC AND AD-HOC REPORT DESIGN

STRONG PROGRAMMING SKILLS:

T-SQL, C# (hands on)

OTHER APPLICATIONS:

MS SQL Server, SSAS, SSIS, Excel, Silverlight, Sharepoint

IDEAL BACKGROUND

- University degree in Finance/Economics and/or IT
- Languages English (fluent)
- Ideal experience Min 5 year experience in IT/Finance/Management Reporting, people management skills desirable

CONTRACT LENGTH: until 31st December 2015 with a possible extension
