Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a System expert on our prestige customer site in central Frankfurt, Germany. Package description

Salary information available upon application - Relocation assistance will be provided. Main responsibilities

- Support implementation phase of technical services(15 services), in specifications, integration, test, acceptance and deployment stages, focusing of aspects related to system integration, mainly for the Development network, which is a "mirror" to the Production network:
- evaluate and execute changes and service requests according to provided operating procedures while maintaining agreed service levels and deadlines;
- contribute to the deployment of services in production by advising on the production impact of planned changes, assisting Data Centre Operations in the roll-out and post implementation;
- deploy, configure systems and environments, to integrate services under development with the standard infrastructural components and according to the system design and network policies (zoning concept);
- document installation and operational procedures for further deployments in Data Centre Operations;
- review technical documentation related to system integration;
- ensure required resource requirements are understood and timely communicated to respective team leaders;
- liaise with technical teams for the acceptance and handover of service in production;
- support end-users during pilot phase for introduction of new services.
- Plan and support the relocation of network devises in the data centre (one-off activity).
- Support system operation, including monitoring, identifying and performing preventive or remedial maintenance.
-Investigate, diagnose and resolve network incidents (2nd and 3rd level support) and problems using available tools and referring to external suppliers if required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical, configuration management, inventory and troubleshooting documentation related to business and technical services.
- Proactively identify and communicate improvements to services, technologies, processes and documentation.
- Plan, prepare and document of maintenance activities (such as hardware firmware, and software upgrades).
- Provide knowledge transfer to other colleagues in the Data Centre section and ensure sufficient documentation is available.
- Support design and preparation of recovery and contingency exercises to ensure system recovery in accordance with the predefined plans and documentation.

Ideal candidate

The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of relevant experience.

- Good understanding of and experience working with ITIL processes, particularly change, incident and problem management.
- Good knowledge of: Active Directory (2008 R2/2012), DNS, Group Policy, DHCP; Windows Server 2008 R2/2012 installation, administration and troubleshooting; SCCM 2012; VMware vCenter; Exchange 2010.
- Working experience in operating mission-critical IT infrastructure environments, e.g. in financial service, IT hosting or defence industries, and in working in mixed operating system and database environments, including Windows, ESX, Citrix, Unix, Linux, MS SQL Server, Oracle.
- Working experience in: Managing technical service transition, creation and maintenance of support documentation.
- Very good command of English with proven drafting ability.
- Good understanding of network and storage concepts, technologies and equipment.
- Knowledge of AD certificate services.
- Experience using Tivoli backup systems.
- Experience in deployment, configuration and support of development, test, pre-production and productions systems and environments.

- Experience in maintaining accurate and up-to-date technical, configuration management, inventory and troubleshooting documentation related to business and technical services.
- Experience in assisting in development of standards for deployed system hardware, OS and software components.
- Experience in planning, preparation and documentation of maintenance activities (such as hardware firmware, OS and software upgrades).
- Experience in supporting Windows based systems, including monitoring, identifying and performing preventive or remedial maintenance.
- Experience in supporting design and preparation of recovery and contingency exercises to ensure system recovery in accordance with the predefined plans and documentation.
- Working knowledge of MS Office (in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
