For a project at our client's site, an international bank based in Zurich, we are looking for an experienced
SYSTEM ENGINEER - LOG-PLATFORM (5870)
In this role you will work with the Global Management and Cyber Security Analytics teams, and will be mainly responsible for designing, developing, testing and deploying infrastructures for data collection, aggregation and analysis.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
- SEVERAL YEARS EXPERIENCE AS A SYSTEM ENGINEER
- SPLUNK SYSTEM (OR OTHER LOG PLATFORM) administration and engineering, particularly search head clustering would be a big plus
- Knowledge with ETL PROCESSES and DATA PROCESSING
- Programming experience Python, JavaScript
- User-facing process design and documentation experience
- Good administration and engineering skills with Linux systems
- Deep Understanding of software development methodologies and life cycle
- Experience within agile/SCRUM environment would be a plus
- FLUENT IN ENGLISH
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze requirements and design technical solutions based on those requirements, for the Splunk Global Log Management platform
- Create test plans based on requirements
- Work with architects, engineers, and business analysts to ensure proposed technical solutions are compatible within the bank's environment
- Develop configuration code and scripts as necessary for integration with other components, to fill gaps in the solutions or to automate manual tasks
- Build and test solutions in a pre-production environment
- Document test results, designs, and operational manuals for the solutions
- Provide third-level support to production operations teams as necessary
