System Engineer - Leading Financial Services Organisation - £350 per d

SYSTEM ENGINEER - LEADING FINANCIAL SERVICES ORGANISATION - £350 PER DAY - 3 MONTHS -  BASED IN LONDON - CONTRACT

REALLY MUST HAVE:

- Extensive experience of maintaining, configuring and running Linux and Windows systems. Understanding of operating systems internals and associated applications. The applicant must be confident controlling processes, manipulating files and using a range of fault finding tools.
- Experience working with Java applications (deploy, maintain, troubleshoot & fix)
- Understanding of databases and SQL (Oracle, MSSQL).
- Tomcat & Apache
- Messaging technologies (eg RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ).
- Experience planning and executing deployments and rolling back as appropriate
- Understanding of the OSI model, basic networking and common protocols eg HTTP, FTP.
- Has worked with development teams, test teams and has a good understanding of the development life cycle

My client a leading financial services organisation has a excellent contract opportunity available. I am looking for a individual with extensive experience of maintaining, configuring and running Linux and Windows systems. It would be good to have NodeJS experience, IIS, Active Directory, understanding of F5 load balancers and how iRules work. My client is looking for somebody that can come in and work with their development team to deploy and support their application in their production environment.
