System Engineer/Service Desk L2

IT Technical Analyst in charge of investigation and documentation aspects for software integration, computers setup and configuration.

Main activities of the team:

- Computerized analytical systems and software inventory
- New software integration by following the IT processes
- Interact and collect integration information from suppliers
- Contribution to establish Right First Time technical documents such as Functional Specifications, Design Specifications, Installation Procedure, Service Catalog, User Guide, B&R procedure, Disaster Recovery procedure, Access and Incident management/monitoring
- Analysis of the proposed solutions and organization of user acceptance tests
- Software installation assistance for standard IT processes
- User assistance and support
- Software failure analysis
- Instrument communication failure analysis
- Escalation of technical incidents to upper levels if needed
- Incident monitoring
- Backup configuration and monitoring for analytical systems
- Access requests management
- Licenses management
- Validation support

The candidate will assess and define the migration strategy for the remaining Windows XP computerized systems. The candidate should have good communication skills to interact with the scientists and the suppliers providing the computerized systems and the corresponding analytical software.

Profile:

- Bachelor level in computer science is a must
- Analytical skills, good redaction skills
- Familiar with the IT concepts of OS, Client Server, network, storage, security, application delivery management systems, virtualization, ITIL methodology
- Knowledge on Windows XP, Windows 7 and Windows 10 operating systems
- French native language, English language knowledge (Technical)
- Team spirit, client solution driven, autonomy and maturity, a great sense of responsibility
