System Engineer ICT - Belgium
Languages: ENGLISH and DUTCH
Skills and experience:
- Education master's/bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
- Application of automation methodology on VMware Infrastructure and senior level
- Experience in senior Server Infrastructure
- Enterprise Level Backup (preferably HP DP)
- Enterprise level storage (3PAR, NETAPP, EMC)
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Services is a plus
- Organisationally independent
- Analytical and problem solving
- Experience in an actual enterprise environment, preferably multiple data centers or different geographic locations
Description of work:
- Responsible for the technical management and maintenance
- Installation and replacement hardware, hypervisor, database services, backup ...
- Based on a rotation provide the permanence and services to end-users to ensure the agreed service levels (on-call)
- Proactive and critical study of the IT environment and develop the necessary improvement.
- Documenting and consistent quality.
- Formatting and updating procedures, inventory and schedules.
- Marking out configurations so the various operational procedures, checklists and guidelines with regard to hardware and software installations and configurations carry over to colleagues within the team of system administrators.
