System engineer - End User Computing (f/m)

Starting date: 1st of August 2016
Length of the contract: 8 months with possibility of extension

Task description:
*Administer, configure and troubleshoot server virtualization solutions and enterprise based storage
*Participate in the designing and implementing of complex IT solutions for End User Computing landscape including but not limited to secure desktops solutions
*Participate in the design of security policies for Windows based desktops
*Contribute to IT projects in the preparation and implementation phase of End User Computing related services and systems, such as technical specification, analysis, evaluation, development, integration and testing, maintenance, release, documentation
*Provide 3rd-level support for operational End User Computing landscape including monitoring, identifying any need for preventive or remedial maintenance through the use of diagnostic tools
*Investigate, diagnose and resolve system problems using available tools and referring to external suppliers if required, as well as assisting 1st and 2nd-level support staff

Your profile:
*Engineering and design experience
*Experience in managing and troubleshooting Windows based desktop environment in a secure environment including usage of solutions for centrally managing desktops (e.g. SCCM), creating desktop GPOs, scripting (PowerShell or VBScript)
*Experience in designing, implementing, supporting and tuning of a scalable on-premises VDI solution for at least 1000 desktops based on either VMWare Horizon/View or Citrix XenDesktop technology
*Experience with creating applications packages using application virtualization technologies like Microsoft App-V, VMware ThinApp and working with VDI solutions from both VMWare Horizon/View and Citrix XenDesktop - are considered an asset
*Good understanding and relevant experience working with ITIL processes, particularly change, incident and problem management, writing technical procedures and design documentation
*Very good command of English with proven drafting ability using MS Office and working experience operating mission-critical IT infrastructure environments
