System Engineer/3rd Line Support (Windows)

For one of our clients - a major international bank headquartered in Zurich - we are looking for an experienced SYSTEM ENGINEER/3RD LINE SUPPORT. The team supports the business in calculating and reporting regulatory-significant risk metrics across the full firm (enterprise wide risk).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Evaluating, planning and integrating technical infrastructure solutions
- Providing a secure infrastructure environment, production stability and performance
- Analyzing errors in systems and defining corrective measures
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to work towards global IT solutions
- Providing application maintenance and Level 3 support of the platform
- Assisting users with problems arising from the mathematical tools they are using (Matlab, SAS, R, Stata)

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

- In-depth experience of Windows Server 2008 - both as a developer and with knowledge of system administration including Active Directory and local/group/domain policy implementation
- Knowledge of Scripting languages - Windows BAT, PowerShell, VBScript, Perl
- Windows server Firewall configuration, IPSEC
- Windows server network and routing configuration
- Authentication technology in Windows ie Smartcards
- Windows server clusters - in particular Blade technology
- Windows packaging and deployment - ideally WISE or Orca packaging tool
- Windows Filesystem, San, NAS, Permissioning, STaaS
- Citrix and Remote Desktop
- Several years of experience of Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL - plus tools such as Toad
- Fluent in English written and spoken
