IT System Engineer
Skynet iMotion Activities (SiA)
SiA is a subsidiary of Proximus Group, specialized in the development, production and distribution of audiovisual and multimedia products and services. SiA was founded in 2005 to manage the broadcasting rights for professional football in Belgium. SiA is a dynamic company playing an important role for Proximus TV. SiA's activities have grown and diversified a lot during the latest years. Besides the live TV channels SiA is handling, Video On Demand (VOD) of Proximus TV and diverse Video productions for internal group clients.
Infrastructure Team
The infrastructure team is responsible to manage, operate and support IT and broadcast systems of SiA. As IT System Engineer you bring expertise and a hands-on approach for implementing and troubleshooting IT infrastructure. The team has ambitious targets to improve service availability and realize multiple projects.
Attitudes and soft skills
*You are a highly motivated individual and passionate about IT,
*You take initiative and have a hands-on mentality
*You are a team player and can work individually as well
*You are a curious and quick learner,
*You can manage and drive projects to completion
*Fluent English and capable of communicating in French or Dutch
*Good verbal and written communication skills
*You share willingly your technical expertise
*Good prioritization and organizational skills
*Ability to manage multiple tasks and be competent in reacting quickly
Skills and experience:
+5 years of IT Engineering experience
High expertize and analytics skills for troubleshooting IT systems
Good practice with incident and change management processes (ITILv3)
Experience in implementing Windows domains
Experience in implementing VmWare
Experience in implementing SAN storages
Experience with SQL database administration is a must
Experience with monitoring tools is a must
Responsibilities
Accountable for system design and implementation following industry best practices
Accountable to deploy High availability solutions
Accountable for execute and manage system maintenance.
Provide support to restore infrastructure functionality
Report to management of ongoing issues, project activities and progress
Participate in on-call duty 1 week/month
