System Engineer

For our client, an international company in the Medical Industry based in the Area of Zürich are looking for a

SYSTEM ENGINEER (ASAP - END OF MARCH - OPTIONAL EXTENSION)

TASKS

- Maintain the current datacentre Netapp storage environment
-Maintain and provide 3rd level support on the current VMware and vSphere environment and keep it up to date.
-Collaborate with the VMware team and other IT towers to design future VMware environment.
-Storage Management on Netapp Ontap 7 (EMEA/APAC environment)
-Installation and refresh VMware Server environment
- Various physical work in the datacenter
-Maintain system documentation up-to-date
-You also will support several projects

REQUIREMENTS

-Minimum 2 years of experience as System Administrator or in Systems Engineer
-Apprenticeship in information technology (Vocational education) or equivalent.
-Certification in VMware or MCSE desirable
- Sound knowledge of and professional technical experience with Intel based Servers and PCs/laptops. Windows server 2008, 2012. Windows 7, VMware and vSphere 5.x, NetAPP (storage in general), networking (Routers and Switches)
-ITIL Knowledge or ITIL Foundation certificate would be a plus
- Fluency in English, German desirable
-Must be a team player
-Excellent listening and customer service skills
-Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
