System Developer

SYSTEM DEVELOPER - NORWAY - SYSTEM DEVELOPER

CONTRACT PERIOD:  May- 30.11.2014

OPTION PERIOD:  Yes. 2 x 6 months (Nov 2015)

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This resource request is however intended to be a temporary strengthening of the OM team to primarily focus on the following tasks:

- Build/improve tools and services related to pro-active montoring and maintenance of all runtime environments (Dev, Test, Qa, Prod)
- Build/improve effective tools and processes for development (IDE, frameworks, libraries), build tools (config management, test automation, build automation), deployment tools
- On request from Scrum teams - Build and deploy a new version of the main application (energyBOSS) into runtime environments
- Work to improve processes, tools and documentation to ensure error-free and efficient operations
- Implement bugfixes in the energyBOSS applications on relevant technologies (Visual Basic, .NET, Java, CA Gen, Oracle database)
- When required, help out on any tasks required for the OM team to fulfil their Service Level Agreement towards users and Scrum teams

COMPETENCE REQUIREMENT:

- Experience with SQL and database systems like Oracle (including DBA skills)
- Build and deployment tools (Jenkins build)
- Servers and Middleware (Windows 2008 Server, Tomcat, Microsoft IIS)
- Scripting and automation (Python, Maven, Nant)
- Configuration Management (TFS)
- Development tools (Visual Studio/.NET/C#/CA Gen/Java)
- Ability to work independent, be proactive and self-going
- Ability to share knowledge and act as a mentor
- Ability to work in team and act as a team member
- Build and release new versions of software
- Work according to agile principles and practices (Kanban)

PERSONAL CAPABILITIES

- Good communication skills
- Fluent in written and verbal English
- Passionate in building efficient tools and practices for software development and distribution

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

- Fluent in written and verbal English (mandatory)
- Fluent in written and verbal Norwegian (preferable)
