System Architect with Unix, Apache and Web Services - English Speaking

JOB SPEC 2347

For a six month contract which is likely to be extended at our banking client in Zurich we are looking for a

SYSTEM ARCHITECT (2347)

to manage E-commerce project requests for the Web Entry Server (WES) and Validator Proxy Infrastructure (VP) like project consulting, identifying gaps, development needs (special engineering), package configuration and deployments throughout all testing stages until productive environment.

Your main activities include:

- Take over responsibility in consulting WES/VP projects in the planning and build process
- Operate and maintain (break fix, lights on, improve) the WES/VP Infrastructure
- Understand, maintain and improve the security concept of the Web Entry Server Infrastructure
- life cycle management, maintain software and tools, capacity management, task automation
- Working with repositories, versioning control eg Subversion (SVN)
- Estimate efforts and costs
- Conduct on call duty

To fulfil these tasks you meet the following requirements:

- Very strong UNIX/LINUX skills (Solaris/Red Hat)
- Very strong knowledge of APACHE, Apache Tomcat, Apache Struts, Subversion
- Strong knowledge of WEB APPLICATION FIREWALL (OWASP/Mod_Security)
- Strong knowledge of WEB-SERVICES (XML/SOAP)
- Strong knowledge of web security, encryption, authentication and authorization mechanisms
- Strong skills in Scripting languages: Bash, Python, JavaScript
- Know-how with Java, JSP programming
- Good knowledge in networking, routing
- Reverse Proxy know how is a plus
- Strong sense of quality and responsibility and a thorough work style
- Fluent written and spoken English
