For a project in Basel we are looking for self-starters who are interested to work in an innovative work environment.
IT Architect
Role: Senior System Architect for Migration & Consolidation Projects in scope of VCC Maturation and VCC Migration Factory early transformations.
- Drive definition, optimization and standardization of the IT architecture for global services within the Program.
- Manage a group of System Architects and System Engineers as a team lead.
- Analyze technical architecture to ensure the proposed architecture is fully compliant with Novartis architectural policies and roadmap as well as with Data center Governance.
- Analyze and assess technical feasibility for proposed architecture. Provide consulting for the implementation of new systems architectures..
- Analyze and assess technical feasibility for proposed architecture. Provide consulting for the implementation of new systems architectures.
- Identify risks (operational and compliance) around the proposed architecture and ensure identified risks are logged, followed up, and closed in a timely manner.
- Focus on implementing new systems architectures according to agreed schedules
- Stay in touch with the restrictions for changes set by the business-related conditions and the technical framework
Required skills are:
- Minimum education: University degree or adequate equivalent.
- Desirable education: Masters degree.
- Leadership: ability to think strategically, enable co-team members, and engage with business/service owners.
- 5 years of proven architectural experience in a data center domain role in a global company
- GxP/SOX: sound knowledge of validation practice

- Knowledge of the Novartis IT infrastructure is a true asset
- Ability to cope with project and operations complexities, ambiguities and Matrix organizations.
- Ability to work in an international as well as multicultural environment
- Flexibility and experience in prioritizing tasks
- Experiences with project management, MS Office Tools and MS SharePoint
- Languages: Fluent English written & spoken, German desirable.
