System Analyst/Programmer

SYSTEM ANALYST/PROGRAMMER - MULTI-NATIONAL WHOLESALE AND INVESTMENT BANK, SINGAPORE

My client require a candidate with strong front-to-back operational banking processes knowledge and recent relevant experience with the banking application Midas and Misys Cash Portal (MCP) to join their IT Systems and Development dept on an initial 12 month contract.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide L1, L2 and L3 Support and assist in resolving issues in production for all applications and interfaces owned by Operations.
- Develop programs/applications required by the team manager or other project managers across different platforms and applications existing in the organization.
- Analyse, gather requirements, develop functional and technical specifications for development work assigned to you.
- Responsible for understanding business requirement and business processes related to the proposed solution or project
- Translate business requirement into functional specification and system design specification
- Advise possible changes or improvement to business or IT units which can increase the productivity of the system or users
- Conduct system testing, report any design flaws and troubleshoot the system when necessary
- Work with project managers and development team to meet projects specific software or technological needs

REQUIREMENTS

- 5 to 8 years or more on application development, support and business analyst in a wholesale banking environment
- Over 5 years of experience on MIDAS AND MISYS CASH PORTAL IN A SUPPORT OR DEVELOPMENT ROLE
- Knowledge on MHUBs interface used as Middleware between MCP and other core banking systems
- Knowledgeable on MIDAS PLUS CORE MODULES(eg CUSTOMER LENDING, FUNDS TRANSFER, RETAIL, GL)
- Technical skills should include;
- AS400, RPG IV (free format), CLP
- IBM WebSphere Application Server, IBM MQseries
- DB2, SQL, Unix(Qshell)
- DFA (Dual-Factor Authentication) & HSM (Hardware Security Module) preferred
- Thorough understanding of a full SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)
- Understanding of Compliance and Regulatory requirements of IT within a financial institution.
- Clear understanding of Change Management and Release Management.
- Experience with vendor implementation and management
- Experience with core banking interfaces such as AML system, Treasury system (eg Kondor+), Trade Finance system and Bank Fusion Midas/Midas Plus application preferred
- Proactive attitude and strong focus on result-oriented delivery
