System Administrator - Western Suburbs

A leading IT consultancy is seeking the services of a Systems Administrator. Based out of the Parramatta office, you will be part of a highly challenging, yet rewarding environment that fosters career growth. Your team will be working on identifying new opportunities to improve performances against business plans. You should be enthusiastic about embracing multiple technologies, whilst utilising excellent communication skills to mentor others and further your experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Deliver and implement systems as part of the project. Complete project activities on time and on budget, while ensuring that project deliverables are met.
- Develop technical skills. Ability to absorb knowledge and skills quickly. Ability to learn to use specific tools.
- Provide technical advice to project managers/leaders and give some technical direction to team members such as subcontractors or client personnel.
- Demonstrate Technical Leadership.
- Assist in the identification of new IT services opportunities.
- Responsible for personal development to meet business requirements.
- Assume additional responsibilities as assigned
- Compliance and support for internal systems. Defect Prevention to prevent re-occurrence of issues (root cause), Problem solving, make processes more efficient and increase quality and output.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

- Windows 2003, Windows 2008
- VMWARE -Experience with Building Virtual Machines
- P2P and P2V tools eg Vmotion,platespin
- Active Directory
- SCCM & SCOM
- Citrix (Presentaiton Server 4.5,5.0
- Scripting (especially VBScript or Powershell)
- Large Scale User Migrations
- SNA/HIS
- SQL Database (2000,2005)
- SAN connectivity
