System Administrator (MS SQL)

System Administrator/MS SQL wanted within an international bank based in Zurich.

YOUR TASKS:

- Configuring, managing and maintaining Sybase/SQL Servers
- Providing subject matter expertise in relation to Sybase and MS SQL technologies
- Retaining, tracking and resolving database-related incidents and requests within the SLA's
- Analyzing and implementing performance tuning
- Providing on-call support and shift work for production databases

YOUR EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

- Bachelor degree in IT
- 5+ years' experience with Sybase/MSSQL Server in a production environment with database and ETL development
- Solid experience in query optimization, performance monitoring and tuning
- Excellent understanding of Profiler and other monitoring and troubleshooting tools, Failover Cluster, and Database Mirroring
- Profound knowledge of Sybase ASE 15.x, Sybase Replication Server 15.x, MS SQL Server 2005/2008/2012 as well as knowledge of other RDBMS, Cloud solustions Windows Server OS(2008,2012),clustering, Virtualization, Solaris and Redhat Linux
- Strong TSQL skills including stored procedure and function creation and optimization as well as experience in SQL Server reporting services installation, configuration and report creation
- Proficiency in SQL Server Integration services package creation and deployment as well as DTS to SSIS migration
