System Administrator - Documentum

Systems Administrator required with experience of content management systems (Documentum) for a contract opportunity based in Valencia Spain with an international ICT organisation. Joining an existing and expanding team the Systems Technician will assist in the administration and maintenance of content management systems (Documentum) as well as server products and environments (Linux, Windows, SQL Server).

Role Responsibilities:
. Provide administration and maintenance of content management systems (Documentum) as well as server products and environments (Linux, Windows, SQL Server).
. Provide additional support for Xythos and DotNetNuke, as necessary.
. Assist in developing detailed implementation and rollout plans for the content management systems.
. Collaborate with multiple individuals/teams to help establish standards and policies for content management systems.
. Assist in the development of project plans detailing scope of work, objectives, identifying roles and responsibilities, work breakdown, deliverables and schedule.
. Support the Systems Analysts' to meet project objectives. Contact and cooperation with external vendors, partners or contractors may be required.
. Be familiar with industry standards and best practices related to the Information Technology field (ITIL), particularly in the areas of operational support and change management.
. Ensure that all service deliverables are achieved.
. Work with Systems Analysts to perform unit and integration testing as well as User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
. Provide training to helpdesk and/or end users in the use of the content management systems.
. Provide input for reports on service metrics
. Perform other duties as required and provide stand-by services during weekends, holidays and outside regular working hours
. Support other systems as required by the service.

Skills Required:
. Successful completion of secondary school education or its equivalent, supplemented by specialised training in IT, preferably with diploma
. Hands-on experience in the maintenance of:
Content management systems: such as Documentum, IBM Filenet, Xythos, and/or DotNet Nuke
. Web-based systems: such as IIS; Apache and/or Tomcat
. Very good technical knowledge of Linux/Unix Operating Systems (W2K, RedHat/SUSE Linux, HP/UX, etc) is required.
. Experience with any of the following: Systems development life cycle methodology; Systems development best practices; Implementing of applications using LDAP, Linux, and Microsoft MS SQL 2000 (or Oracle) database concepts.
. Development or administration experience in JSP or Servlet (API) based web applications in a J2EE environment is desired.
. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment is required, experience working at the international level is a plus.
. Excellent knowledge of English is required. Working knowledge of another language is desirable.

This opportunity can be based full time in New York OR Valencia. The role however only candidates with the eligibility to work in America will be considered.
