My client are a leading technical consultancy with an enviable reputation in the Basel area.
They are currently seeking to hire a freelance System Administrator/Support Analyst to work on site with one of their most valued end clients.
The requirements of the role:
- 1st level support for server systems Physical & Virtual (Windows, Linux, AIX, Solaris).
- Knowledge of server operating systems, Linux, UNIX (Solaris, AIX).
- Good knowledge of scripts (Perl, Schell, Bash).
- Experience in the operation of a large IT infrastructure.
- Knowledge of server virtualization (VMware, AIX LPAR).
- Knowledge in the ITSM solution HP Service Manager beneficial.
Tasks:
- 1st level support for server systems Physical & Virtual (Windows, Linux, AIX, Solaris)
- Automating processes using scripts.
- Scheduling Jobs and complex processes in Scheduling (BMC Control-M).
- Scheduling backups and ensuring implementation (Symantec Netbackup).
- Making Changes and maintenance of the production systems.
