System Administrator

For our client, global banking company, located in Zurich is looking for a SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR FOR A 5-MONTHS CONTRACT.

ENVIRONMENT/PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Provisioning systems for all operating systems according the defined requirements and delivering appropriate hardware and software solutions related to those requirements.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

. Install Unix, Linux, Wintel and ESX Servers according the customers' requirements
. (SNOW and GRS)
. Installing Cluster for Windows, Linux, Solaris
. Install Terminal Server (OS and IP setup)
. Base installation (OS Base, and file system)
. Full installation (OS Middleware Application)
. Building shadow system (Installing System with same name and IP for 'easy' migration
. HW Upgrades for all HW regarding Service catalogue
. Firmware update for all HW regarding Service catalogue
. Setup file system for none SAN system (ODS, etc.)
. Provide configuration for Build upgrades (SC setup for Business)
. Configuration file generating in I-SAC
. Resolving installation problems (Network, fire wall)
. Organizes missing Infrastructure fire wall rules
. ESX creating clusters
. Network troubleshooting

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

REQUIRED SKILLS
. Solaris, Solaris zones, Linux. Advanced
. Windows and Windows Cluster Hyper-V, Advanced
. ESX and VM-Ware Advanced
. Networking
. Scripting to facilitate the install process (Scripting in Perl and Shell)
. troubleshooting
. Solid knowledge in Microsoft Office Products and good understanding from Network, UNIX/Linux, Wintel and Oracle, or MySQL Environments.
. Good oral and written communication skills English and German
. Skills scope estimation: to manage planning, time management, scheduling resource planning, resource management
. dependencies, and decision analysis skills
. presentation, communication, and negotiation skills
. leadership and team building capabilities
. conflict resolution, problem solving skills, and the ability to make sound decisions under stress

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
. Must be able to demonstrate success and experience to solve issues as Problem owner
. System administration for at least 5 years on the OS listed above

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/EDUCATION
. Advanced skills for most of the listed skills under required skills demanded abilities
