System Administrator

Link Technologies is looking for a System Administrator. The primary responsibility is the ability to support a dynamic Red Hat Linux, Oracle Enterprise Linux and Solaris x86 virtualized environment. 

Requirements:

- The ability to build and maintain Red Hat Linux, Oracle Enterprise Linux and Solaris Servers
- Working knowledge of VMware vCenter tools
- Have the ability to create install, configure, maintain and upgrade server O/S and system software applications
- Interact with IT analysts and end users to determine system requirements, estimate work efforts and develop and document system changes
- Command line expertise in Linux and UNIX
- Web server configuration and support knowledge
- Troubleshooting capabilities
- Perform diagnostics
- Problem identification and resolution
- Perform vendor escalation as needed
- Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational and time management skills are essential
- This position also requires the ability to be on-call 24/7

Experience:

- Four years or more experience as a system administrator with the Linux/UNIX  operating systems
- A Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field is preferred.  Equivalent work experience will be considered
- Nagios monitoring and configuration knowledge
- Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) monitoring and configuration knowledge
- Shell Scripting
- EMC storage experience
- Backup technology - CommVault, snapshot technologies
- VMware experience
- IBM WebSphere MQ
- Oracle RAC system configuration and administration
- Oracle GoldenGate
