Sybase T-SQL Developer
Our global multinational end-client in Geneva is currently looking for an experienced Sybase Developer to join them on a long term basis.
Working language: English
Start Date: January 2013
Length of the assignment: 6 months + extensions for the right profile
THE ROLE
-You will be a specialist in designing and coding in T-SQL in Sybase and will be heavily involved in a global system for our client, a major private bank.
-The role will include reverse engineering, optimizing and improving existing processes running on Sybase data Servers.
-You will be in charge of programming the application as well as supervising work delegated to our off-shore development center.
-You will work under the supervision of a project manager in charge of defining the objectives and deadlines of the project.
YOUR PROFILE
-Sybase Transact-SQL expertise: proven experience in design and optimization of stored procedures on large database Servers. (Min. 3 years of experience)
-Scripting languages: experience in building automation tools in Perl or Python (Min. 1-2 years)
-Object Oriented language: some experience with Java.
-Very good written and spoken technical English
-Ability to write functional and technical specifications documents
-Ability to integrate a team and adapt to organization in place
Additional skills are an advantage:
-J2EE, Continuous integration, Configuration Management, Agile methodology.
