SYBASE DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR
On behalf of our client, a leading global company within the bank world, we are looking for a candidate with strong experience in Sybase Database. For this contract position based in Zurich Switzerland our client is looking for a fluent English speaking candidate who can start as soon as possible.
If you are a team player with a lot of drive, are able to work on multiple tasks and under a lot of pressure - you will be the ideal candidate for our team!
The skills and experience needed for this position are:
- Professional DBA of Sybase 15 (min. 5 years)
- Experience as a Sybase Infrastructure DBA, ideally within the financial sector
- Good Sybase and basic Scripting language knowledge
- Knowledge of installing and configuring Sybase Servers
- Good knowledge of Linux and Unix operating systems with VERITAS clustering and volume manager
- Good English skills
- On Call readiness
- Degree
Nice to have/advantage:
- Knowledge which is an advantage:
- Experience with MS SQL 2008 - 2014
- Experience with Oracle RDBMS and DB Tuning/Optimization
- SAN/NAS Storage
- Virtualization Skills (VM-Ware)
- Ability to build and maintain customer relationship
- Writing documentation
- ITIL
- German skills
