SYBASE AND SQL DATABASE DEVELOPER

Our client, headquartered in Zurich, is an important subsidiary of a global company in the finance industry. We are looking for a SYBASE AND SQL DATABASE DEVELOPER WHO can start as soon as possible.

CONTEXT:

- Developing a global trading platform covering trade capture and life cycle management, books and records management, reporting, settlement and decision support.
- Utilizing the technologies, liaising with and understanding the business needs
- The candidate will be required work closely with the development teams, testing teams and business users in all regions throughout the life cycle of projects to ensure that the requirements are being correctly interpreted.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Development and maintenance of Sybase database queries and stored procedures
- Development and maintenance of data feeds to downstream systems and
- Processing of feeds from upstream system
- Development and maintenance of batch jobs¨
- Maintenance and documentation of database schema
- Documentation of batch jobs and processes
- Development and maintenance of reports and Crystal reporting templates

EXPERIENCE:

- 2 years of experience working in a development team with multiple simultaneous software development projects
- Experience supporting and releasing software into mission critical global systems
- Experience in development of Sybase or MS SQL Server database applications
- Ability to understand specifications
- Strong English language skills
- Experience of database development including SQL, stored procedures. Preferably using Sybase or SQL Server, Unix.
- Familiar with relational database concepts including Datamodelling, performance tuning.
