Your role, as a Swimming Teacher, will be to deliver a swimming instruction programme to schools that attend the school swimming programme, after school and holiday activities. You will also work with the Swimming Coordinator to set aims and objectives for the programme.

Your duties will also include:

- Monitor, evaluate and review the swimming programmes on a regular basis and provide statistical data and other relevant information.
- Deliver the daily swimming instruction programme for all children at any facility within the City Council`s area and maintain a standard of swimming instruction which is in accordance with the agreed Manchester School Swimming programme.
- Deliver and develop swimming links with local clubs, coordinate after school aquatic activities promote local events and provide holiday schemes within the community partnership with Health, Free Swimming or any other funding streams.
- Implement Manchester`s School Swimming Programme Policies and Procedures for the safety of the pupils, school staff and swimming instructors.
- Undertake and maintain effective methods of assessment for children attending the schools swimming programme, after school programme and any other relevant swimming programme.

Essential skills / qualifications / experience for the role

- ASA Level 2 Swimming Teacher
- NPLQ
- Extensive and up to date knowledge of current swim teaching practices
- Good planning ability
- A good communicator
- Customer care skills
- Willing to work evenings and weekends
- A level of fitness to facilitate a safe operation of duties
