My client, a leading automotive manufacturer, based in Essex, is looking to recruit an SVO Project Engineer to join their Product Development division on a long-term contract basis.

Design, Transit, Project, Manufacturing, Vehicle, Engineering, Essex, South East

Position Description:
Lead the development and integration of Transit SVO options for North American Transit Coordination and translation of engineering deliverables into technically feasible system design solutions, meeting SDS requirements.
Integrate design solutions, liaising with Mainstream engineering and North America marketing teams, ensuring customer wants are fully met.
Develop and manage parts releasing, DVP and vehicle durability programme execution/sign-off in line with Programme delivery timings.
Manage daily interactions with system D&R engineers, Project Management, FNA bodybuilder teams and other functional areas where applicable to ensure full coordination of robust programme delivery milestones.
Liaise with suppliers to ensure on time PSW Co-ordinate and lead prototype build events/vehicle launch with Manufacturing teams and bodybuilder activities where applicable.
Liaise with Manufacturing teams to identify installation changes & solutions, both mechanical and Electrical/EOL programming.

Skills Required:
Expert and current working knowledge of WERS/WACTS/GPIRS.
FMEA, project delivery and Manufacturing experience highly desirable.
Visualization tools eg Vismockup & digital buck.
Teamcenter PIM procedures.

Skills Preferred:
Ability to work in a methodical manner with minimal supervision.
Good communication skills and ability to lead a team.

Experience Required:
Knowledge of Transit vehicle line complexity, awareness of AVBOM.
Familiarity with Global release and change management process.
